....Inaction.......

When there is less of action, there are few words to share.
So i'd rather borrow some words today

listening to Alon Parsons Project

'Every possible location
has a simple explaination
And it isnt hanky panky...

(thats what i am trying to do now
keep it simple.)

another line that i like:

And oh when I'm old and wise
Bitter words mean little to me
Autumn Winds will blow right through me..

When i am old and wise!!
..........................................
Sigh!!

Matter of time and you come in action!

SAve energy!!

I am talking about energy-saving bulbs here.Compact Fluorescent Lamps are designed to replace your regular incandescent lamps.

Utility : CFLs use less power and have longer rated life.Though its purchase price can be 3 to 10 times greater than that of equivalent incandescent lamp the lower energy use and extended lifetime will compensate for higher initial cost. The average rated life of a CFL is between 8 and 15 times than that of incandescents.

Drawbacks:
1.incandescents give light almost immediately upon the application of voltage. CFLs take a perceptible time to achieve full brightness, and can take much longer in very cold temperatures.

2.CFLs produce less light later in their life than they do at the start. depreciation is exponential, with the fastest losses being soon after the lamp was first used. By the end of their lives, CFLs can be expected to produce 70-80% of their original light output.

3.CFL contain small amount of mercury inside the glass tubing. This causes air and water pollution while disposal.Only 3% of CFl bulbs are properly disposed or recycled.

Interesting useful Fact:
Switching CFl bulb on for a few minutes at a time can shorten its lifespan substantially.Incase of a 5 minute on/off cycle, the lifespan of a CFL can be upto 85% shorter!
So keep it on for atleast 15 minutes at a time to mitigate this problem.

The problem is i hate reading under the CFL that i have at home, maybe coz u are used to brighter incandescent lamps. However, its a good substitute at twilight if u are not readin/writing/working.

[A similar interesting product is use of LEDs in your Diwali light strings (toran). These rice sized colourful tubes used in cluster to light up your home-fronts and balconies have become very popular in recent years.Get them before the stock gets over, diwali is around the corner! red-soft white(gloden) combo looks awesome!! :D ]

OPEN TO INTERPRETATION

Hey if you are here reading this right now i would like you all to contribute whatever comes to your mind when you read this :

"Imagination is never random. Its more specific than what we actually see/repeat in reality."

Please take the efforts to post your comments, it wont take a lot of your time!! :D

From an old Notepad

I found an old notepad belonging to the days when there was so much to do that i had to make note of things(arnd 2 yrs back).I do that even today though its a little pocket size diary now-largely out of compulsion :my tendency to forget things !! :P

I had to throw away the notepad as it was my "Clear the clutter day" which means everything that is not used for past 6 months and looks redundant must be thrown away.So i had to show some courage ;) i went through the entire notepad once and thought of blogging it here so thatsomething of it remains(my Piscean side got hold of me)..

Vocablury.....A quote...Lean Production System explained wid da help of diagram(must be reading Toyota Way then)....a few advertising agencies and their addresses :D... a Simple Equation Sum (it was a riddle i guesss)...da excerpt from Shantaram that i already blogged...More corporate contacts(definitely for Enigma)..
Books To Read( surprisingly i have read them all by now)...German grammar ....Eco syllabus for F.Yr....Ratios...MCEX commodities...Derivatives and Capital markets...more Vocab!!!!

Finally I wudnt have remembered that i have actually read 'Six thinking Hats' by Edward De Bono hadnt i come across this notepad!! there's white, black, blue ,red ,yellow and Green hat!!
Take my advice, either read or re-read that book like a text book or never bother to read it at all!! i found it useless personally..

Fall

its not the number of times you stumble and fall that matters
its the number of times that you stumble and get up.

An excerpt

There's a truth that's deeper than experience. It's beyond what we see or even what we feel. Its an order of truth that separates the profound from the merely clever and reality from perception. We're helpless usually in the face of it and the cost of knowing it,like the cost of knowing love, is sometimes greater than any heart would willingly pay.
It doesnt always help us to love the world but it does prevent us from hating the world. And the only way to know that truth is to share it,from heart to heart, just as Prabhakar told it to me, just as I'm telling it to you now.

"WHY ME?"

IF YOU ASK THAT QUESTION TO YOURSELF OFTEN THESE DAYS, READ ON...

IN LOVE,ONE NEVER NEEDS ANOTHER,

ITS ONLY BY CHOICE YOU STAY CLOSE.

PROMISES ARE MADE INTENTIONALLY

WHY GET HURT IF SOME ARE UNFULFILLED

AND HOPES CAN'T REST ON SOMEONE ELSE.

AND IF YOU CRY ON YOUR LONELINESS…THINK AGAIN

WAS IT LOVE AT FIRST PLACE??

OR SOMETHING THAT HAS MADE YOU SO WEAK

THAT YOU FEAR TO BE WITH YOUR SELF!

STILL WALKING?

WE WALK TOGETHER SOMETIMES

BY THE DUSTY ROADS AND MOVING CRANES
BY GUTTERS LOADED WITH CITY DIRT
BY SHOPS THAT CLAIM OF PUBLIC TRUST

WE WALK TOGETHER AND SAY NOTHING
BY WINTER EVENINGS AND PURPLE SKIES
KNOWING NOTHING BETTER WILL HAPPEN TODAY
SO WE JUST KEEP WALKING.

WE WALK TOGETHER AND SPEAK OUR MINDS
ALONG THE ALLEY WHERE WE MEET
YOUR BIKE PARKED-BY SOMEWHERE NEAR
COZ I PREFER WE GO ON FOOT

IT ISNT A NEED NOR AN UNDERSTANDING
A SIMPLE WANT PERHAPS
AND FOR A WHILE WE DONT CARE
WHETHER WE WILL MEET SOON AGAIN..

AND WE TALK ABOUT OURSELVES
LIKE TWO BIGGEST EGOCENTRICS
CARING LITTLE OF WHAT GOES WRONG
WITH THE TOWN AND ITS CITIZEN.

TALK OF DESIRES AND SELF INTEREST
THINGS WE'LL ACQUIRE AND GOOD TASTES
IT’S BEAUTIFUL AS HELL THIS WAY
LET THIS HELL BE OURS ALWAYS!!

Elderly Woman behind the counter in a small town

I seem to recognize your face
Haunting familiar cant seem to place it
Cannot find a candle of thought to light your name
lifetimes are catching up with me

All these changes taking place,
I wish i'd seen the place
but no one's ever taken me
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...

I swear i recognize your breath
Memories like fingerprints are slowly raising
Me, you wouldn't recall, for i'm not my former
It's hard when, you're stuck upon the shelf
I changed by not changing at all,
Small town predicts my fate
Perhaps that's what no one wants to see

i just want to scream...hello...
my god its been so long, never dreamed you'd return
but now here you are, and here i am
hearts and thoughts they fade...away...
hearts and thoughts they fade...away...

A lovely Pearl Jam number with beautiful guitar and lyrics!

A Map

This is a work done with a good friend Anand who is a genious.
We both stay in same compex. And this is a map, looks difficult when u look at it but its really nothing.
That blue building is his residence and i stay in brown one,one wid pink border. The circle is a landmark and you can see the road...you can locate us near our respective buildings..

Abha n Anand

Photographed by :Anand

To make the map a realistic one we have added a half moon which hangs over his building sometimes, over mine other times. That depends on where you are standing while looking at the moon.

First i dint like to see the pink spots on moon, but when anand said its a 'daag' i agreed to keep it.He is very logical and i like that.So i also named da wings 'A' 'B' n 'C'.

While my bldg has five wings, his has only three. But my bldg is just four-storeyed,his is 6-7 storeyed.

On the surface..

she stood there in the train... her body as a matter of habit adjusted to the rythm of the train's motion... one hand holding on the dangling pedal, whose characteristic is to move to and fro. This pedal plays seemingly insignificant role in many people's lives...it carries the load of millions of wary minds day in and day out..
Age 32 something... thin brows, turned into a frowning expression(of anxiety rather than of disgust)... but the most distinct part of her expression was inevitably brought out through her almond shaped eyes.... her gaze fixed on a non-existant point, somewhere above the window she was facing...the kind of gaze that very unambiguously tells you that the person is temporarily hijacked by some attacking thought...and her eyes are absorbing nothing more than fear, concern, anxiety and more anxiety.

the eyes were moist with tears which wouldnt flow... for last few years they have surfaced too many times... however somehow have learned to stay there....floating...
sometimes threatening to be at the verge of flowing...like the living bodies hanging at the edge of the footboard of this train. minutes passed.... no pearls yet...
she looked down and using her fingers wiped-off the thought that she never takes home to her kids and family.

Achilles' heel

In Greek mythology, Achilles (also Akhilleus or Achilleus; Ancient Greek: Ἀχιλλεύς) was a Greek hero of the Trojan War, the central character and the greatest warrior of Homer's Iliad, which takes for its theme the Wrath of Achilles.
Achilles also has the attributes of being the most handsome of the heroes assembled against Troy, as well as the quickest.
Achilles's death came as divine retribution for his hubristic murder of Troilus. The Trojan boy had spurned his sexual advances and was killed by the enraged hero inside Apollo's temple.Later legends (beginning with a poem by Statius in the first century AD) state that Achilles was invulnerable on all of his body except for his heel. These legends state that Achilles was killed in battle by an arrow to the heel, and so an "Achilles' heel" or Achilles' tendon has come to mean a person's principal weakness.

According to the incomplete poem Achilleis written by Statius in the first century AD, and to no other sources, when Achilles was born Thetis tried to make him immortal by dipping him in the river Styx. However, she forgot to wet the heel she held him by, leaving him vulnerable at that spot. (See Achilles heel, Achilles' tendon.) In another version of this story, Thetis anointed the boy in ambrosia and put him on top of a fire to burn away the mortal parts of his body. She was interrupted by Peleus and abandoned both father and son in a rage

Vancouver is consistently ranked one of the three most livable cities in the world.According to a 2007 report by Mercer Human Resource Consulting for example, Vancouver tied with Vienna as having the third highest quality of living in the world, after Zürich and Geneva. i wasnt blogging at that moment and later it almost got wiped off my memory~some facts about myself,NOTE: this is not open for questions, comments are allowed.
1.I love liesure....there is nothing as "work" in my dictionary...nor "job" i hate these words...because i believe if you allow them to be used in your daily life, they become the ONLY thing for which you get up each day..
2.i love sunrise and sunsets
3.i write at my own will
4.in my bedroom you will find books....i dont read them as much as i need them lying all over to make me feel comfortable..
5. Courtesy to me and my friends (Manisha, Chris) we have formed this theory named “The Intellectual Rubbish” which states that there are two types of people existing in this world : a) The intellectually dumb ones and b) the dumbly dumb ones!! Now you may ask why?? After a certain amount of observations, we came to a conclusion that everyone in this world is prone to doing something really, really dumb at some point of their lives, be it when they were alone (this is really important) or in front of everyone, at least at one point of time, they were really embarrassed na? So even if you are an intellectual, you ARE dumb!!! Understood??(All rights reserved. No part of this really short and comprehensible and “intellectual” theses may be reproduced in any form, or by any means, without permission. COPYRIGHT)
6.i cant sleep with dimmest of lamp/bulb/torches on... need complete darkness

8.I am single
9. Pungent perfumes turn me off
10.I love walking.

crazzyyyyy..

She jogged the same path everyday.
Was it an hour or a spring wild-flower
Or summer sweat that kept her on the move?
Was it a rain puddle soaking into her Nike
or pool of dew drops forming on car-roof?

Perhaps it was just an idea
To get over the previous nightmare.
She jogged the same path everyday
To hear a voice loud say~

Look at that sunflower staring at your face
It sings and it dances till the sunlight wanes
It drinks and it dines with folks & friends
And sleeps like a baby in an open space

Start over a-new and over again
When the Sun comes and pokes :
“Come get up you lame!”
Don’t think hard
Say “I m game”

Do the craziest things you always wished to
Jump, cry, try and break that chain
Let the world see a reason and call you insane…

Baby you're a rich man

How does it feel to beOne of the beautiful people?
Now that you know who you are
What do you want to be?
And have you travelled very far?
Far as the eye can see.
How does it feel to be
One of the beautiful people?
How often have you been there?
Often enough to know.
What did you see,
when you were there?
Nothing that doesn't show.
Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man too.
You keep all your money
in a big brown bag inside a zoo.
What a thing to do.

Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man too.

How does it feel to be
One of the beautiful people?
Tuned to A natural E
Happy to be that way.
Now that you've found another key
What are you going to play?
Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man,
Baby you're a rich man too.
You keep all your money in a
big brown bag inside a zoo.
What a thing to do.
Baby you're a rich man...
