How to make a poem rhyme?

If hare was to jump like a frog
and snake was to bark like a dog.

if there were no lights in the lane
would you once dance like insane?

When will you stop behaving like a teen?
Your hair colour makes my head spin.

Enough of your inky pinky ponky,
its career you're chosing not a donkey.

if i could sell all my possessions in heaps
why would i live in an apartment so cheap?

Can i make you an omlet for breakfast
since you dont remember what you ate last.

Last time i told you one-liner so nice
you gave me the expression of rolling eyes'

Mom said if i had a child whose dad was clever
i could have taken a leave from my job for ever.

See the irony of this artist next door who cried,
He bought new brushes but his paints have dried.

Am i under any influence today?
No,its in my own spirits that i am gay

if you wondering why you're still reading this crap
go hit yourself on a hard rock.

Run Run Run

Lynyrd Skynrd-Lovely lines,for you A! ;)

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see.
But, if I stayed here with you, girl,
Things just couldn't be the same.
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.

I want to travel :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My exams are going on and my frinds/parents look more tensed than me. LOL.For one,my idea about exams have definitely changed.I dont give a damn about them anymore. This is not a BOLD statement.Nor am i flunking in my exams to be saying this :P

Just that i sometimes feel the need to rebel against the way our minds are conditioned.I suddenly have started hating the way i do things. My real test now is to see whether i am capable of changing and moving forward.Education has made me too rigid.
I need to break free, especially from the kind of fear that comes from being in situ (or stationary).
Only then will the learning come.
Only then can i enjoy my doings.

You have to run run run,
to remain in the same place.(Alice in Wonderland)

What have you learnt today?

One of my professors raised an interesting question one day.Ever wondered what is the difference between "study" and "learning" processes? Its one word answer."Application".
So however well your teacher has managed to teach you a concept, you have only been sucessful enough to 'study' it,with best examples if you want to add.

You can be sure that you know it or have learnt it only when you are able to apply it.
I am yet to learn a lot of things. :)

Reading

I was never so much into reading.I have developed that habit over last few years.
I have observed that in last two years i have barely read fiction.
Since reading came in my life quite later as a habit, my fiction reading period was also short. Then there was a time when i used to read two books at a time,a strict combination of fiction and non-fiction.Now i am only invited by Non-fiction books. It has become easy reading for me.I will probably have to take efforts to read a classic.

One thing i like about non-fiction reading(i read biographies of businessmen) is that its a nice way of learning through others' experiences. An autobiography is a way of living through one's experiences, which is any day more exciting than reading some story which is part truth part imagination.Without further justifying my choice of NOT reading fiction,i will get to the point.I am trying to bring some variety in my reading. So this next month i shall read all kind of books,fiction,...non fiction...classic..contemporary.all colours and shades!!

-----------------------------

I showed a letter to four people today. As a part of formality they were needed to read it.I was surprised to see how much time each of them took to actually read it.In one of the cases i started counting from 100 backwards to kill time!!
If people at managerial posts take so long to read a piece of information,i wonder how they manage to do other tasks??Its a good way to test a manager i think.

Consumer's call

i am not unsure;
the world is too sure.
There is perfect competition
and perfect assumptions;
and perfect criticisms.
Watch my actions
They are the only imperfections
proving that i am human
and not just an idea of a
rational consumer.
What you consider selling points
keeps me from using your product;
THE thing about it you forgot to highlight
i go around sharing on Facebook.

I think the idea of "rational consumer" is given undue attention even as a theoretical concept. The phrase should be just banned from Marketing and Economics textbooks,as it severely restricts the imagination of a manufacturer-in-the-making.

(I like the new Coke add.No atrangi avtaar of Aamir for a change!!)

And a very innovative tagline "Coke ke saath Dost free"
After seeing the add wherever i go and see the huge words on canteen stalls "THANDA matlab Coca Cola" i think of this new add.Its a cool transition from the old "Thanda" concept and has a good recall value.

From an old Notepad

I found an old notepad belonging to the days when there was so much to do that i had to make note of things(arnd 2 yrs back).I do that even today though its a little pocket size diary now-largely out of compulsion :my tendency to forget things !! :P

I had to throw away the notepad as it was my "Clear the clutter day" which means everything that is not used for past 6 months and looks redundant must be thrown away.So i had to show some courage ;) i went through the entire notepad once and thought of blogging it here so thatsomething of it remains(my Piscean side got hold of me)..

Vocablury.....A quote...Lean Production System explained wid da help of diagram(must be reading Toyota Way then)....a few advertising agencies and their addresses :D... a Simple Equation Sum (it was a riddle i guesss)...da excerpt from Shantaram that i already blogged...More corporate contacts(definitely for Enigma)..
Books To Read( surprisingly i have read them all by now)...German grammar ....Eco syllabus for F.Yr....Ratios...MCEX commodities...Derivatives and Capital markets...more Vocab!!!!

Finally I wudnt have remembered that i have actually read 'Six thinking Hats' by Edward De Bono hadnt i come across this notepad!! there's white, black, blue ,red ,yellow and Green hat!!
Take my advice, either read or re-read that book like a text book or never bother to read it at all!! i found it useless personally..

Fall

its not the number of times you stumble and fall that matters
its the number of times that you stumble and get up.

koi aur ka koi aur hai..

Who meri taraf nigarah rahe
Mera dhyaan jaane kahan rahe
Meri aankhon mein kai soorate
Mujhe chahata koi aur hai…

Na gaye dino ko khabar meri
Na sharike haal nazar teri
Tere des mein Mere bhes mein
Koi aur ka koi aur hai…

few hours at ccd..

Today i solved two puzzles that you get in the entertaintment section of the newspaper. The joy of getting the solutions was the sort i havent experienced enough in recent times...
Wish i could,by simple way of trial and error or substitution and little calculations simplify this BIG puzzle life is!!
In those hours, spent at a near-by cafe, staring at numbers and figures before my cuppa coffee, I learnt an important lesson ..
Never Give Up!!
At the end, many a time it pays more than you ever wanted..

थिंक शंघाई थिंक थाने

THINK SHANGHAI THINK THANE...

One thing is sure...Whoever thought of such noble idea for being displayed on as large a hoarding as possible,..is not a Thaneite. For an average Thaneite is just not in the state of noticing and reacting to such advertisements(ya i am an exception).Another hoarding says.."SOON THE PEOPLE OF THANE WILL LOOK DIFFERENT.BEAUTIFULLY DIFFERENT."
HOW DIFFERENT? Read further to know..

There's a lot happening in Thane. There is a fly-over coming up from Station to Talawpali.Of this everyone must be aware, since plans were in place looong time ago and now the work has already started. So the junta is supposed to take busses to different routes,a compulsory Thane darshan-which means the bus will halt at all possible stops before you find yourself in the Eastern side of Thane railway station!!

Ask a working or daily-commuting Thaneite today what his biggest overhead expense...?I can bet on it that 6/10 people will say TRAVEL.Which brings me back to a question i had asked a few days ago in my blog "Thane without autos".

Can you imagine Thane without autos? It was easy for a few to say YES then. But Thane at this day already feels lacking in auto nos.If you are standing near auto stand at 8:30 PM and waiting for a rik to come...you are just fooling around with your time...Go uptill Alok...even further and chances are that you still dont find a rik-wala wanting to oblige you in exchange for meter fares.(Though there are manyy autos in this area..no one wants to drive it seems)
If you are smart enough you will ask for "share" seat kaa bhaav...to which he will reply "Bees rupya"(as on 30th May 2007)..who knows??their prices will shoot up like Infosys share prices overnight!

Or better still walk upto Talawpali lake and find a ghoda-gaadi!They are still cheaper i hope!!And what about these legendry Thane kaa HORSE-carts?Where will they go when flyway curves down at Talawpali...or will they still be there?
Only time will unfold these mystries, for i no longer believe that we have some anything like "CITY PLANNER"...to take care of these nitty-gritties of development.

Thane is developing at fast rate no doubt. But most of it is at the expense of its people. For living in a city where you cant even afford to find yourself the basic means of transport(read it busses or riks)..can be at times frustrating.More of so in monsoon...be prepared for paying auto wala anywhere between 20-50 per seat,or am i underestimating their union power?

क्या बात है....वाह वाह !!

how did this happen?!?!

lolzz...yeh hindi lipi kahaan se aai?
Well, things dont always go the way you have planned.Finest example is before you.I had intended to write a blog on my city Thane, how it looks these days...and when i typed "Thing Shanghai think Thane"...it came before me in Devnagari script(plain hindi). But the sentence looked wierd in Hindi...contrary to what it looks on those hoardings put at every junction of this city.So i changed the title. And wrote this blog just for the heck of it!

kya baat hai...waah waah..

wanting,having,loving,bullshit!!

what when all the right things happen at wrong times.........?
NOTHING...you learn to appreciate time and move on!!
Day in n day out,i am blessed with wishes and love that ppl wround me have to offer...they wish i have what i love n love what i have....to always want to live more, never having to live to want more...where does all of it get me?

At the end of the day i gotta believe in myself, because if i dont,i may not believe in the best of words of my best friends, though they are truly genuine.
So let me put it flat...

Work till i am able to say..
"I have all that i wanted and what i dont have,i never wanted."

i knw ppl have heard this b4 by King of Bollywood..but those who read my blog, know that i sometimes quote other ppl...SOMETIMES!!
